Katahdin is a very strenuous climb located in Baxter State Park and the very last peak thru-hikers summit when they finish hiking the Appalachian trail, north bound! With an elevation gain of about 4,000 feet, regardless of which trail you take, it is for physically fit individuals. This hike requires a lot of planning, reservations are required but the pay off is worth every step you put into this climb. Please contact me early for a summer ascent of Maine's tallest Mountain! Pricing includes transportation into the park from Bangor or Millinocket, packing lists and more. Make sure you choose the date that fits your adventure type and what you want out of this amazing experience! Each trail and trip creates a new experience for hikers! 🥾 July 19: Katahdin Ascent – Hunt Trail Conquer Maine’s tallest peak via the historic Appalachian Trail route. A full-day, guided adventure for experienced hikers. The Hunt trail is one of the more popular trails to the summit of Katahdin. This is because of the outstanding features along the trail such as picturesque Katahdin Stream Falls, the Boulders on Hunt Spur, the traverse of the Tableland, and extensive views in all directions, as 2.4 miles of the trail is above tree line. Total of about 11 miles round trip with ladder rungs and scrambling. Caution there are metal ladder rungs and scrambling involved with this hike. ⛰ September 6: Katahdin Ascent – Knife’s Edge (Roaring Brook Route) Take on one of New England’s most iconic and thrilling ridgelines. Group support and alternative trail options available. This hike we will start at Roaring Brook Campground and clients will have the option to make a group decision about which route they would like to choose. If Knife's edge is on your bucket list, this would be the trip to sign up for! Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable. Hikes may be rescheduled once without penalty. Hikes may be cancelled up to 1 week before the trip for a refund (minus deposit). Within 1 week, a 50% refund will be offered. Within 48 hours, a refund will only be offered if HC Maine Adventures LLC cancels the trip due to inclement weather (minus deposit; deposit can be used towards another similar adventure at another date or forfeited). All bookings that involve lodging are non-refundable. (Please consider travel insurance for these adventures.)
